A true gem - nature as far as the eye can see! A former farm cottage, luxury, nothing has been renounced and yet it captivates by its simplicity. The sauna in the middle of a spacious spa area with views of meadows, forests and the Traunstein mountain, in front of it a sundeck and barbecue area. The kitchen with the old tiled stove is where it all happens, here you can cook, eat and celebrate. Cosy warmth from centuries-old tiled stoves and floor and wall heating using sustainable energy. The house was actually planned as a private retreat for the Gröller family. “We fell in love with the piece of jewellery. During the extensive restoration, however, we decided to rent it out to guests until we had time to use it ourselves," says Wolfgang Gröller.

A farmhouse as a place of longing

The dream of a country idyll comes true in the recently renovated farmer's bag, in the middle of the Höllengebirge-Hongar nature reserve. Grazing cows, meadow orchards and the gentle mountain landscape far away from the hustle and bustle of the city allow you to relax. And the accommodation also does its best: hand-painted farmer's boxes, goodness nook and a cozy tiled stove are perfectly combined with modern highlights such as sauna, free-standing bathtub and cozy barbecue area in the 400-year-old farmhouse.

A second home, "where fox and rabbit say good night": The location could not be more perfect. The historic farmhouse "Dörfl In der Straß" is located in a cul-de-sac in an absolutely quiet area in the middle of the Salzkammergut. Nevertheless, the popular Traunsee is only a few minutes away by car. There is plenty of time for rest and relaxation here. The exclusive farmhouse is also the ideal base camp for individual discovery tours in the Höllengebirge-Hongar nature reserve.

Panorama tub, sauna and garden grill: During the core renovation, old stone walls were preserved just as carefully as clay plaster, limestone slabs, as well as the centuries-old wood in Tramen, box-type windows, door frames and pine plank floors, under which underfloor heating was integrated. The shingle roof and barn were built true to the original. Now the village shines with contemporary luxury, including 2 bedrooms and an exquisite bathroom with sauna and free-standing tub. Details such as the well-stocked schnapps bar ensure a cozy living room feeling. The fully equipped kitchen plays all the pieces. It is equipped with both a 400-year-old wood-fired kitchen tiled stove and a modern induction cooker. There is even a grill on the terrace for mild summer evenings.

Daily cleaning: € 70,00 (waste disposal, change of towels, vacuum, kitchen)
Butler service: In order to enjoy your stay to the fullest, we are happy to organise a local guide. This person will run errands, takes care of the household and organises daytrips for you. € 150,00 per day.

Since the house is right next to a paddock, dogs are not allowed.
Final cleaning will be charged during check-out € 150.00 / stay.

Payment and cancellation policy
After finalising your booking a down payment of 20% via bank transfer is charged. Until 3 weeks prior arrival these 20% are the non refundable fee.
3 weeks prior arrival we invoice the remaining 80%. Cancellation after that point or no show will be charged with 100% of the whole amount, if no other tentant can be found. Additionally our booking as well as general terms and conditions apply.

The local tax is €2.40 and is not included in our prices.

Coming from the A1 (N) motorway

Regau exit -> Pinsdorf exit in front of Autohaus Esthofer -> Reindlmühl exit in front of Spar Pinsdorf -> after the village of Finsterau, there is a right turn on the mountain / the road already has a sign saying "Im Dörfl" -> after approx. 0.5 km the house is on the left -> "Im Dörfl Nr. 41"

Coming from Bad Ischl (S).

After the Traunkirchen bypass tunnel -> junction of the B145 turn left towards Neukirchen -> follow the road for 4km -> turn left at the next junction towards Neukirchen -> through the village -> next junction right towards Reindlmühl -> next left turn left onto the mountain / The road is already marked with a sign "Im Dörfl" -> after approx. 0.5 km the house is on the left -> "Im Dörfl No. 41"

The domicile is located right in front of the nature reserve "Hongar-Höllengebirge".
An idyllic labyrinth of forest roads, which are perfect for long walks, hikes or mountain bike tours. The lake Traunsee can be reached within 10 minutes by car.
